In the Knowledge Series students typically complete three Units each year, and the entire Series in four years.  Each unit has 100 lessons, and each lesson is half on-line and half hands-on.  These lessons take about three hours to complete, so students only do two each day.

The online lessons completely replace textbooks, lecture, worksheets and quizzes.  This frees up the teacher to do more complex teaching during the hands-on lessons, which include multi-subject connections, deep discussion and problem solving, creativity and individual variation, and real-world applications.

In each unit, there are 15 lessons each of the major subjects (math, science, communications, culture) and 10 each of the minor subjects (the arts, technology, personal development and 2nd language).

The curriculum is intense.  For example, by the end of the second year (after Unit 6) students can label every country in the world and every US state and territory on a blank map.

We use a variety of great teaching methods, but our songs in particular ensure that students quickly learn (and permanently retain) important facts like geography and the multiplication tables.

OnSchooler is a complete curriculum (click on each to learn more):

"The kids know right were to go to start the class and go through it with minimal help.  It is great that it has audio along with the visual as it helps for kids that do better learning through listening than reading."
