Hands-On Learning: Addition
We use a variety of hands-on methods to help students really understand numbers and math. These Foundations Series students always get the right answer by using manipulatives; in the Knowledge Series they will build on this base to begin mathematical calculations abstractly. (Actually, most of our 5-year olds figure out how to do the 9-plusses in their heads right after the 10-plusses, so they'll have a nice head start on Unit One in the Knowledge Series.)
